Juengst Places Sixth in California

Pictures

Sophomore Keith Juengst will join the great 103 pound wreslters in Valhalla's Hall of Champions as a state placer.  After day one he found himself in the semi-finals with a good shot at a California State title.  Keith had beaten all other semi-finalists at this year's five counties tournament in January.

Valhalla's tradition of great 103 pound wrestlers goes way back and includes JJ Robets, 3X California place winner, David Lopex, 2X placer and National Champion as well as Mick Ruis in recent years.

Keith was Master's Champion last week before entering the California Championships held in Bakersfield on Friday and Saturday, March 5-6.

Juengst lost his semi-finals match on Saturday, March sixth and finished sixth in what many consider the toughest state championship tournament in the nation.

Kyle McGraw from Monte Vista (12th, 173 lbs.) also finished sixth.
